Getting Here

Parking: We park 25,000 visitors for the show. You'll find a space. Parking is included with your ticket.
Members parking: Separate entrance, exclusive access. Free show entry when you're a member.
Accessibility:W heelchair access, disabled parking, accessible toilets, assistance available.
Public transport:Nearest train station is Driffield and main bus routes out of Hull city centre, York and surrounding towns and villages.
The showground sits in the middle of the East Riding, well away from accessible motorways. People still come. They've been coming since 1854.

Volunteer as a Steward
The show happens because hundreds of volunteers come out of the woodwork. Families with full-time jobs. People intrinsically linked to the society through generations. Subcommittees who work in the shadows all year.
If you want to be part of that — to do your bit for agricultural heritage — get in touch.

Show History
The Driffield Agricultural Society was established in 1853. The first show was held on a farm approximately 400 metres from where the office stands now. It hasn't moved since.
One hundred and seventy-two years of continuous operation on the same site. Through world wars, recessions, foot and mouth, weather that would sink most outdoor events - 25,000 people still show up year in, year out.
The families who exhibit here - their grandparents exhibited. The sponsors who support the show - they're embedded in the land-based economy across Yorkshire. The volunteers who steward - they're intrinsically linked to the society through blood.
You don't replicate that. You inherit it, you respect it, and you make sure it's here for the next 172 years.
Anchored in tradition, forward-looking. The education programme bringing 2,000 kids annually to understand where their food comes from. The venue hire business bringing income to support the charity mission. The rebuilt website you're reading.
But the show itself? That's the capstone event. That's what 25,000 people come for. That's what this whole thing is built around.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the Driffield Show?
22nd July 2026. Always the same date each year, fourth Tuesday in July. Gates open 9am and close 5pm. It's a full day. One day. Not a two-day show.
How much are tickets?
Children under 16 are free when accompanied by an adult. Members get free entry plus exclusive parking and members area access. If you're planning to come every year, membership pays for itself. For this years prices please call 01377 257494
Is parking included?
Yes. We park 25,000 visitors on show day. Parking is included with your ticket. Members get separate entrance and exclusive parking areas.
Is the show suitable for families with young children?
Yes. Livestock, machinery, trade stands — educational for kids who've never been to a farm. Family activities and space for them to run about on 78 acres. Bring sun cream. Or waterproofs. It's Yorkshire in July.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. They must be well-behaved and must always be on a lead. Please follow signage and instructions around livestock areas.
What if it rains?
It's an outdoor show on open fields. If it rains, we still run. Bring wellies and waterproofs. The show has run through worse weather. 172 years proves that.
Do you have accessibility facilities?
Yes. Wheelchair access, accessible toilets, disabled parking at the front of all car parks, assistance available.
Can I volunteer on show day?

I attended the annual Driffield Show yesterday. It was a great event on, thankfully, a dry, hot day. Very well organised in every aspect. It was a small queue to park but straight out in the afternoon as there were plenty of marshals. All staff were helpful, so it made it a pleasant day out with lots to see. Very unusually, there were plenty of clean toilets. I will be back next year.
