Why is the Driffield Show held midweek?
Driffield show is traditionally an agricultural show with a very high level of local agricultural and trade support, it's something that has remained important to the Society. Whilst we understand that not everybody can attend due to work and that children are at school. We work closely with schools across the county on the Schools' “Food & Farming Day, where we welcome over 1500 school children each year to the Showground for a day of education in May, we would encourage parents that would like to bring their children along to speak with their school as the Driffield Show is very much thought of as an educational event.
I’m arriving by public transport; how do I get to the Showground?
East Yorkshire Bus Service “121” stops directly outside of the Showground.
What facilities are available for babies and children?
The Show is a family friendly event and we do as much as we can to assist families with young children and babies. Baby change facilities are available within the Rix Pavilion and all of our permanent toilet blocks.
Driffield Show comprises both indoor and outdoor areas so think practical and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. As always, the British Summer is very unpredictable so it would be advisable to opt for layering clothing and bring a waterproof.
Security will, as always, be a top priority at the Show and we would like to reassure our visitors that we are working in partnership with Humberside Police and the National Counter Terrorism Security Office to deliver a safe and enjoyable show.

We have carried out a full review of site security arrangements and contingency plans which have been approved by Humberside Police - and we will continue to do so.

As always there is 24-hour security in place both before and after the event and there will be security measures implemented during the Driffield Show.

There will not be a bag storage facility at the Show. Visitors are asked to only bring bags that they intend to carry around with them.

Bags should not be left unattended anywhere.
You are very welcome to bring a picnic with you, although you may wish to sample some of the fantastic food which is on offer throughout the Show. Alcohol is available in the licensed bars on the Showground.
A cash back facility is located adjacent to the Show Office and the Members Enclosure.
