Close your curtains and make sure your doors are locked! Frightening fun has been guaranteed in Driffield for Halloween 2019 with this brand-new event. Get ready to experience the Driffield Showground “after dark” with two thrilling nights of scares and live entertainment.
After Dark will feature three live action scare mazes, a funfair, roaming characters, street food, live music and street entertainment from stilt walkers and fire breathers. Looking for something a little more ‘hands on’? Get up close and personal with all manner of reptiles and creepy crawlies in our interactive “Reptile House”. Still shaking after surviving all these terrifying encounters? Then it’s time to pull up a chair and relax in the “Scream Bar” with live entertainment and a strong drink to steady your nerves!
Will you survive a sick and twisted trip through government test installation Outpost 42?
Will you outrun what lies at the end, or will you become another infected test subject?

This is a ticket only event.
Tickets will not be available across the weekend and must be bought in advance, through the website or by calling 01377 257 494.
There are a limited amount of Standard and VIP Fastrack tickets available for each evening. once they're are gone, they're gone.
Standard Tickets - £12.00
Standard tickets are sold with an arrival period.This is the time you should arrive on site. If you purchase a "6:00pm - 6:30pm" ticket slot, you must arrive on site between these times and before the arrival period closes. We reserve the right to refuse admission if you arrive outside of your arrival period. Once on site you may stay as long as you wish until the event closes at 11:00pm.
VIP Fastrack Tickets - £20.00
Why not skip the queue's with a VIP Fastrack ticket? This ticket allows priority entry to the site, all three attractions, and access to the VIP only bar area. With a VIP Fastrack ticket you can arrive on site at any time from 6:00pm until 10:00pm.
Group bookings of 50 or more are eligible for 1 complimentary ticket for every 10 people. Please contact us on 01377 257 494 to book these.
All tickets allow you to visit each attraction once, in any order. Please note that There will be an additional charge, per ride, for the funfair.

Frequently asked questions
After Dark will be held on Friday 25th & Saturday 26th October 2019 and run from 6:00pm until 11:00pm each night.
Tickets are split into five time zones, you can select which time you would like when booking. 6pm – 6:30pm, 6:30pm – 7pm, 7pm – 7:30pm, 7:30pm – 8pm and 8pm - 8:30pm.
You will need to arrive onsite within your time zone and then do the three attractions in any order.
How do we get tickets?
No tickets will be available on the gate. All tickets need to be bought online, in advance from this website.
How much does it cost?
All tickets are priced at £12 each.
Is there an age restriction? Are children allowed?
We do not feel that this event is suitable for under 14s, but we know you will know your children better than us, so we will leave this up to you to decide. You have been warned!
Whilst ee do not enforce this rating all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over 18 at all times.
This event has been designed to be scary, no refunds will be offered if you decide it is not for you on the evening
How long will it take?
Please allow at least one and a half hours to do all three attractions, allowing time for queuing at certain times. Allow extra time for the live street entertainment which will be happening throughout each evening, there will also be street food and a bar to calm your nerves.
What should i wear?
After Dark is held both outdoors and within buildings and marquees on the Showground. The three Mazes are undercover however if the weather is wet a waterproof coat may be needed. The ground can be uneven and rough in places, so please wear suitable footwear.
What if it rains?
After Dark will take place whatever the weather, all three attractions are undercover, but you may need to queue outdoors, the street entertainment and street food is located outside, the bar is inside.
Will i need a torch?
No, there will be plenty of lighting outside and each maze has been designed with your safety in mind, so you will not require a torch.
Are dogs allowed?
No, this event is unsuitable for dogs.
Can we dress up?
Yes! We would encourage all our visitors to dress up. Please note that you will be asked to remove full face masks, no weapons or replica weapons of any kind will be permitted at this event.
Can i stay with my friends?
Visitors will be divided into groups of 8 or less to enter each attraction and groups are advised to stay together throughout.
What if i am too frightened?
If at any point you find the horror too much, all you have to do is notify the nearest actor and you will be escorted back to the public area. This event has been designed to be scary, no refunds will be offered if you decide it is not for you on the evening.
What if i have a medical condition?
This event has been designed to be frightening and uses Intense audio, strobe lighting, smoke & special effects along with sudden actions from the actors to scare you. Therefore, we do not advise expectant mothers, anyone with a heart or respiratory condition, sufferers of seizures, asthma, epilepsy, claustrophobia, anxiety, high blood pressure or anyone that is easily frightened to enter this attraction. Again, you have been warned.
What special effects will be used?
From the onset and throughout each attraction you will experience Intense audio, strobe lighting, low visibility, smoke & special effects and sudden actions from the actors. The grass within the attractions may be uneven so please do not run and take extra care whilst making your way through.
I will be in a wheelchair. Is this event suitable?
The admissions queue line is wide enough to accomodate wheelchairs and the pathways within the attractions are also wide enough for wheelchairs, however, pelase be aware as the event will be held on grass, in October, some wheelchair users may find the Showground terrain difficult to manoeuvre on. The attractions will also feature sharp twists and turns that may cause some difficulty.
I have lost my Maze Pass. What should i do?
Maze passes will be issued you to you upon arrival, once your ticket has been scanned.

Filming inside our attractions is normally strictly prohibited. We are however happy to consider media filming and photography requests.

We can provide a maximum of 4 press tickets per publication per visit, however each request will be reviewed on an individual basis.
Behind the scenes tours are occasionally offered however a minimum of 5 days notice is required again each request will be reviewed on an individual basis.
Face to face interview requests with the After Dark management team are available to selected publications and require 24 hours notice.
